This video was made just prior to the introduction of regulations limiting the use of speed glue and the practices surrounding gluing up rubbers before competition.
The new ITTF-approved water-based glues have playing characteristics favourable for the defensive player, similar to those in use prior to the introduction of speed glue in 1996.

this is such a stupid test I can´t belive it! Tabletennis is about playing, it do notmake sence if the rubber are sticky or not! You have to look at the changing playing properties ( like speed and spin) this test is useless....... one not to stick rubber can be much better than the sticky one!

@adaolo002 Thanks for your comment. It was not a test, it was a demonstration.

i have a question an original size racket how much is thick i mean 1.3 cm or 1.5 or what?(sorry for my english )
milotist 2 years ago
they are rubbers only, not rackets; no record was kept of the thickness of each rubber. I believe it is a random mix of thicknesses.

Thank you for making this point. The point of the video is purely to show how layers of glue change the shape of the rubber; no implication that the stickiness is correlated with rubber efficiency is intended.
