Super Star Soldier is a vertical scrolling shooter released in year 1991 for the NEC TurboGrafx 16 / PC Engine video game console. Developed by Inter State Kaneko, published by Hudson Soft. The game includes a variety of weapons including flame throwers, electricity, spread guns and heat seeking missiles. It consists of eight levels.

Why did this system never get released over here? I had the GT handheld briefly, the gameshop owner I used to work for imported it for me, I'd have loved to have collected for this back in the day.

I love the Turbografx / PC Engine because of its great shmup games. Not sure why the PC Engine is not widely released in Europe.

this use to be my favorite game in the world when i was little i beat it like 15 times, the only thing i did like but it took me at the same time was the fact that when you paused it the time would still run out, it was funnier than a mug to me,

Yeah !! One of the "Soldier's" game series on turbographx !! (I prefer Final Soldier but this one isn't bad all the same).
