Pass this on to your collegues who need to get certified in 2011!
Focus on your weak areas. There's no point in continuously reading in areas that you're very strong in. You need to concentrate on your areas of weakness. Understanding why answers are correct is a big thing when you study. If you do a prep test, make sure you understand. Why is the answer correct? Learn from your mistakes. Put on your PMP thinking cap. Always ask yourself, "Is that what the PMI would do? Is that what a PMP certified project manager should do?" Again, I can't overstate it: read the PMBOK Guide. Practice as many questions as possible. Get used to reading very long questions. You might come across questions four lines long. You need to be able to read those questions and decode exactly what they are asking.
Several MOCK exams on the PMP exam are either too watered down or on steroids with unrealistic subject matter. What you want in somewhere towards reality which is neither "over the top" nor "namby pamby".
