  • As pointed out, it is "Peelers", a slang term for the Bobbies (cops) named because Scotland Yard was started by Sir Robert Peel..Also, it's "The town of Conamerra" (famous for it's marble-often used to make rosary beads) ...GLAD to hear the song...Thanks for posting !!

    Peeler, Peelers

    UK, slang, archaic, from Sir Robert Peel (see 'Bobby'); it has largely disappeared in mainland Britain, is often used in Northern Ireland, usually pejoratively.
