It's beautiful! A few years after Karen died I'd finished playing in Hollywood one night when someone asked if I'd like to go to Richard Carpenters place (in Malibu I think he said) some day & jam & play some music with him because he was considering getting something going.
Stupidly I was into all this stuff I thought was so much hipper, didn't think Richard would have much happening without Karen, so I said no thanks.
Now 25 years later I realise I should have gone because Richard's great too

This is great! Thank you for posting it.
I would also like to recommend "When Time Was All We Had" by Richard Carpenter, which is about Karen and in which he sings all of the parts.

@charlie6644 To compose a song that has this much emotion, I would have needed Thompson's Water Seal for my piano if I were even able to finish the song. Karen's gift lives in each one of us. Of course Karen is missed. She has inspired others to strive for the same musical excellence that she shared with the world. When We've Only Just Begun hit the airwaves for the first time I was all over it, and have been a devotee to the compilation of Carpenter's music ever since. Let's Road Ode.

@vmuto1 YESS!!

I have heard Karen's songs since she first became a star. I don't know why I know this, or how... but I just KNOW she had a real warm heart.. for people.. and I am confident that she is presently with the Lord, in eternity... SINGING praises to God.
I truly believe that

I first heard this song after Karen passed away.. It was very soothing. But because of what had happened.
I cried, the tears came down gently as I could just imagined how Richard felt when he wrote, then played this for his loving sister.
And I still cry when I hear it.
What a Beautiful way to remember your sister, in a sweet and caring way that will always be heard as it continues to send it's sweet message of love as the wind carries it through the gentle breeze of life.
