In the state of connecticut after about a year long application process when the trooper trainee is hired there is a 6month academy that is very similar to marine boot camp. CT has one of the most extensive trooper training programs in the country and by far the best graduation so i cannot speak for other states.

@samten10a You mean weeks, to be a US Army special operations communications sergeant only takes 60 weeks and thats 1 year 3 months.

To be a cop it should be 24 to 36 MONTHS, how long was this traing take.

Four years at the University of Kentucky, major in PoliSci.
Then to the Kentucky State Police.
Then maybe the FBI.

I have 1 more year of high school and then off to Carroll University where I am goin to get my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and then I am going to the State Patrol Academy. I can't wait!!!!
