Any military installation by nature are to be deeply built underground and any surface defenses are to be independently powered and controlled and connected by fiber optics and wires with complete separated redundancies. And surface defenses are to be hardened and dispersed and ommi-directionally interlocking. Any damaged or destroyed surface defenses must easily be replaced with in stock replacements stockpiled several dozens of times so as to remain in fighting condition for a long term battle
