Val Thorens amature ski jump crash

After heavy snow fall for most of the week, we (a bunch of very amature skiers) decided to head off piste, found this "jump" and decided to try it out.
Thank god for the soft landing is all I can say!!!!!

IIRC it is up Funitel Peclet, about half way down there is a ridge on some off piste on the left hand side. Its quite hard to spot as it doesn't actually look like you can jump, we kinda found it by accident as we're all bad skiers! lol

I would only recommend hitting it in deep snow if you're as crap as us as you might hurt yourself (as my jump / crash proves!)

I have seen 30 foot cliff drops into deeper snow and they ski off fine and dandy right away, not to mention some massive backcountry kickers.. but then again, for a novice, even with feet down... yeah, no chance.

Even if you had landed on your feet you would have wiped out, the snows far to deep to land a jump that big

lol, anyone ever skiid the wall? its in switzerland, i stacked at the top. and rolled all the way to the bottom. no film tho. shame, lol. nice vid:>
