Most of your engravings seem to be very detailed, intricate, and very finely engraved. Do you always draw directly on the block or do you sometimes transfer a previously worked-out drawing with carbon paper or an equivalent medium?

Hi. I make rough outline drawings freeehand on the block and then improvise the marks as I engrave, often taking a full day to do a square inch.
