Uke Build Ep.10 - Final Prep

With laundry running in the background, I prepare the uke for finishing. Since I know nothing about finishing, I must consult the experts. It might be a while before the next episode, but when it's ready I'll be installing the Mi-Si pickup.

Nigel, a painter buddy says a flat finish and a high gloss will sound the same.

All lacquers begin as a high gloss. It becomes a flat finish with one more chemical additive. In other words, it's the SAME thing. Just looks different.

i respect the way you're taking your time with this project. Most people rush these jobs. Pretty ingenious way to fill in the cracks too.
