I made this in February 2010 for the album 'Stroke'.
'Stroke' is Chris Knox songs (including songs by Tall Dwarfs, and by CK & The Nothing) performed by other artists after Chris' debilitating stroke in July 2009.
For more info about Stroke: http://www.chrisknox.co.nz/
Alec Bathgate (the other half of the TD duo) sent up the footage of him playing guitar in his Christchurch, New Zealand home, and Ary Jansen and I filmed Chris in his Auckland, NZ home.
I combined it in Final Cut Pro, after consuting with Chris, who was pretty definite about how it should end up.
Chris cannot speak much; he sings beautifully. But not words.
Apart from the covers by all sorts of interesting artists on Stroke, the double-CD includes two new numbers: 'Sunday Song' by him and Alec, and 'Nappin' In Lapland' by Chris and his band The Nothing.
Chris Knox is a beautiful human being.

Ain't it crazy that a simple little ditty like this can actually evoke a response? A beautiful piece, you guys. Thanks so much.

@batterycock Sorry batterycock but that's really uncalled for. Pete Doherty may not be someone you like but he has his path to follow. You make a lot of assumptions about the Tall Dwarfs in that statement, as well. Still, on a happier note, we both like this, and that's a good thing. All the best.
