Wife didnt have insurance when she got pregnant 2 months ago...Tried to add her to my insurance policy at work in February was told "have to wait until May because thats when open enrollment is"...Now, insurance company denies every bill related to her pregnancy...every penny of profit I make this year (after TAXES and living expenses) is going to pay for child birth - $8-$10 grand estimate.

Stefan, what you say here is 10000% right, in Poland we have social health care - after fall of communism there were still 'clans' of doctors, lawyers, politicans, etc. etc. who made surre tht we wont change some systems... now we pay double, costs are skyrocketing, queues to specialists are even 4 YEARS LONG...you forget what bothered you when you get in... hospitals are bankrupt, prescription trade - whole thing collapses.... americans dont even know what awaits them with this system

There is a reasonable issue with the “pre-existing” condition issue. Many insurers were finding ways to weasel out of their liability by calling something “pre-existing” after the sh*t has hit the fan. Imagine paying into the insurance system for a decade, getting sick, and then having your insurance company call your sickness pre-existing. How would you feel?

The obesity rate in this country is another thing. If people could eat healthy and stop buying junk food, I think the prices for health care would go down. They bring in Obamacare and it's just more government control over something it's not going to fix anything. People don't eat right and don't exercise, and people that are sick are going to have to pay out their asses for this. It just helps the government continue to rob us.
