@gunzt3rkenfu92 she didn't attend the university as an academic gesture, but rather as part of a student entertainment function. money that is specified for entertainment purposes was used. and lol sure, she was a "speaker" if you want to get really technical. but when people say she was paid to "speak" at the University, that gives a connotation that does not match the truth-- she was paid as entertainment. also, Rutgers was not the only school to hire her. it was part of a tour she did.

She was there to give a speech and Q & A, so yes she was a speaker.

The issue is not about her fame, it is about a university wasting the students money on bullshit like this. I would be outraged.
