Gradius 2 MSX level 6's Special Stage

video of level 6's special stage, played by me,
I show the way to enter it and what you need to do to get out alive of this ;).
you'll need the back beam to get out of this special stage or you'll be screwed by the scrolling.
it is possible without the back beam to stay alive until 1 min 30 but you need a certain technic and will die most of the time ;)
the route I take is surely not the best ( as I miss a hidden life at 2:20 and miss several capsule, plus there are surely more hidden capsule I haven't noticed ( i'm sure there must be something on the upper part of the screen at 2:00 I think it's not for nothing there's a row of dot up there, but I prefer taking the bonus points by making the ruin fall (I made a mistake in this video, as you can stay on the bonus because they reappear, giving you a lot of extra point).

If someone has a tip concerning a location of a special stage i'll make some other videos of those :)

You need to turn up the psg on your emulator in the mixer the sound is wrong you cannot hear the drums and other sound fx properly so many people post videos on youtube like this without knowing and they sound terrible.

Man I'm suprised by the Illusion of amount of colours KOnami was able to pull of from the level that leads to this one. It look so detailed (the special stage too btw ;)) in amount of colours. Considering hte MSX only had 16 colours and had some limitation with placing morethen 2 colours on a 4 pixel line. It looks stunning.

It's great to see this game got revived on Salamander Portable, feels nice to own a real version of this game instead of playing it on an emulator (though I'm sure an MSX emulator is still running the game on the Salamander Portable PSP UMD.

There is a special stage on stage 3 there is 3 pillars under a brick let the brick fall on you and you will go to the special stage.

Why you don't enter the secret stage that is inside this secret stage? It is under the right corner of the big stone that starts appearing at 1:46
