@Clerpents Runaway was never a doowop song anyway. It's not the right chord progression for starters, and that was intentional because Del Shannon was fed up of all that blue moon shit in the charts. There's only one singer in it as well; doo wop gets its name from the nonsense lyrics the backing vocalists sang.
Oh, and this cover is straight-up wank.

@decristo1021 Yes, it had the same feel and sound. Wish they had something like that on the new CD. Only always talks about how much he was influenced by the 50's and early 60's music. Just wish they chose some better covers for this CD instead of the pop standards which have been covered 1000 times.
