The quality of the sound...PERFECT...ascribes to your restoration skill. Well done! Cassette players also suffer rubber melt esp in hot attics. I replaced the tape head also on a wide tall expensive boom box but it did not work. Still a good radio however...

@maynardcat RCA and other manufacturers of 45 rpm recods specifically designed the middle of the record to have a slight "lift" so the sides do not touch the playing surface:)

maynardcat;i'm glad ebay has available parts for this record player.i'll bet vintage players like those are rare and pretty expensive in great condition.thanks for showing your vintage record player and info. for anyone who wanted their record players back in playing condition.

great medley of tunes there.hard to believe that 45 record player can hold up so many 45s.is it hard to find parts in case your other broken down players don't have the parts you need?

@wfarrar69 New replacement parts are available on ebay, like idler wheels, cam wheels, cartrdiges, and some used parts as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a BAD idea to play your records while they are stacked? I thought that wore down all the records underneath the one that's playing...
