It was the Lao of Num U area who started the kingdom of Sukhothai. What is  Thai? and who are Thai? Were they Mon/Khmer, Malay, Lao, or AiLao?

thai people and thai new generation have been brainwashed with all lie since they were born from their thai governments or leader. When they thai people hear the truth history between laos and thai from lao people, they think Lao people lie coz all their life was living under their thai leader lie. so thai people pretty much are lost and ignorant on their history. that is why they agrue with lao people. thai people can NOT accept the true. Thai ppl are thief ppl and that is in their blood

Tai means (ppl of a region/community)

whereas "Khon" is a generic word for people.When Lao ppl say Tai they are referring to a region/community. example

Tai Vieng Chan(people from Vieng Chan

Tai Muang Luang(Luang Prabang) Tai Savan(Savanakhet) .The word Siam means dark skin people .Thai means Free it's from Pali. Just like Issan is a Pali word which means (Northeast) reigion.

SIAM is akingdom.Siames is the people.tai was LAO word.Siam changed the name into thailand in 1930,u should know why?

siam is the kingdom not the people. the people were been calling themself thai. tai ayotaya and tai sukhothai. tai and thai mean the same thing free people.

there were laoland. before stupid lao king split the kingdom into tree:luang prabang.vientian and champasak.thats why france gave Lao tree elephan head flag.luang prabang helped Siam invade Vientian and champasak at the end siam took over luang prabang too.all tree of them were under Siam control since.thank to france(if france didn't lost the WW2 there should be no Esaan,should be all LAO.
