Gays don't want to destroy traditional marriage, straight couples are doing that just fine on their own. We just want equality.

Plenty of heteros were active supporters of gay marriage in California and Maine. Gay marriage lost in those states because Mormons and the Catholic church poured money (which they don't actually have) into campaigns which utilized lies and stereotypes to win over people who don't fully understand homosexuality. It's that simple.

I'm a 12 year old girl who has grown up a LDS, and I am totally for gay marriage. Love is love, and whats between a person's thighs doesn't change that, and it shouldn't matter.

What most people never consider: there are gay people in public service, like fire fighters and policemen. Some day, a gay person might rescue YOU from a burning building, or somehow save your life.

It happened to me.

Support THEIR rights. You don't need to be gay to support civil equality.

@HenhousetheRed hahaha Its actually not that simple, people make a big deal out of the Mormons and Catholics funding something they believe in and expressing their freedom of opinion. The fact is, no on prop 8 got much more funding (movie stars) than yes did. The realityof the situation is, people disagree with gay marriage because they think it is wrong. and That is the majority and the truth, whether or not you can accept it. Have some "tolerance" and accept there are people who disagree.
