How interesting... everyone wanting to work a dog should watch this just to see what they are capable of. I'll bet most of us who aspire to this do not have the setup for a dog a get the experience these dogs obviously have. We have to make up things and pretend to have a real job.
Four sheep do not make a herd :D :D
Do these dogs work off the same set of commands?
Were they taught to "wait" "hold" "stay" whatever... with shock (control) collars?
Were they well-trained before working together?

very good video... How do you even begin training these dogs with commands and where you want them to be?

rrch129 I start with dogs that have a strong herding/working desire. Then we start on a small group of cattle and a small job. Adding names to the dog's actions, over time, the dog will learn a command for the action. Then it's just practice and experience that makes a solid well-rounded dog. For the most part the dog instinctually knows how to do all the tasks, I am just trying to get the dog to work with me when I ask, and to stop working when I ask.

Robert you are really doing a great job setting an example for people who have considered using dogs in their cattle operation. This video is a great example in that you can handle cattle in a humane way using dogs the proper way.
