Rickenbackers are junk and customer support is non-existent. If you HAVE to have one, find a good luthier like you have, or better yet, learn how to work on them yourself. I've had 6 Ricks in 30 years and still own three, but my Fenders get played far more. Fenders are superior instruments in every way: Sound, playability, easy to maintain, and easy to repair.

@plotchickens actually it is correct either way..., though "Rickenbocker" would be the historically correct spelling. It was named after founder Adolph Rickenbacher, and the correct pronunciation is bock, just like Bach. They changed the spelling to an Americanized version after the first few years of production.
