  • Thanks for keeping it original, and thanks for sharing. Any chance we can see this car?

  • @rrivas001 , you are welcome. The car in Istanbul,Turkey and it belongs to one of my customer. Unfortunately, I closed my business 2 years ago. If you are in region and want to see, i would try to reach to owner of the car.

  • Put a glass pack on it, or open manifold, and rev that puppy... There's, nothing interesting at all about a quiet motor just idling.

  • It's a full original restored classic car, not a street rod. This video uploaded for the friend, who wonder how original inline eight sounds ;)

  • @Kornball426 I disagree completely. There was once a time when it was rare to achieve the balance, smoothness, and level of quiet that this inline-8 produced. Having driven one yesterday and today, I can assure you that the quietness of this engine at idle is nothing short of pleasantly surprising. To me, there's nothing wrong with hot rodding a junk car, but nothing beats original like this. True time capsule.

  • Lots of valve train clatter. Believe it or not you're not supposed to

hear that. Back in the day those old engines were QUIET, (when

they had low miles). They were not designed to run on unleaded

gasoline. Gas back then had "ethyl", or tetraethyl lead, added to

quiet the valves. That valve train needs to be adjusted tighter.

  • I've listened to a lot of straight-eight Buicks (& other makes) on Youtube but none quite catch the burbling noise of my Mom's old '53, the car I learned to drive in. It was a tank!

  • That's when you could overhaul an engine with nothing but a crescent wrench and a screwdriver. Now you need a plumber's license just to get past all the junk.

  • diesel?

  • I saw pics of a str8 263 and tranny at a swap meet, guy wanted $700.00 I left his card in a drawer for 2 years. Later found the card and called, he sold it to me for $150.00 It is in excellent shape. Even painted the correct color.

  • I own a 1950 Buick Riviera 2dr Hardtop. I stored it for 14 years. fresh gas and she turned right over and purred!!
