I've decided to do this series for two major reasons: First, the removal of Veritas48's series on the Resurrection, after his forcible deletion from youtube, and, second the apparent lack of detailed presentations of this central argument for Christian Theism on youtube. The argument is that there are five facts that can be established and agreed upon by the majority of historians and that these five facts are best explained by the resurrection hypothesis.

  • I'm interested to see how you plan on establishing these facts given the passages you cite. As neither Paul, the author of Mark, nor the author of Acts are known to be eyewitnesses, I'm not sure how you can do this.

Similarly, I'm not sure that all the facts you present are relevant. Even if it's established that Paul and James were converts, it seems like you must then grant that skeptics who convert to non-christian religions are evidence in favor of those religions' validity.

  • @antybu86 Take a deep breath and don't get ahead of the series. I'm glad you are interested, stay tuned.

  • I usually don't grant the claim that the NT isn't authentic. critical scholar's denial of the authorship of Matthew and John is only of the result of their bias and the opinion of other scholars. None of them ever give any evidence against the authorship and they often overlook the fact that the attestation is even stronger for the gospels than it is for any other book in the first century.

  • @SonnyDelight55 In general I agree with your points, and I definitely agree with your conclusion. However, if we can still establish that the resurrection occurred in conjunction with these limitations, it makes the argument even stronger.

  • man i wish veritas48 could be able to come back to youtube.

How friggin stupid are you? maxitrone and I were having a perfectly polite conversation, then he/she responded back to me out of the blue basically calling me "fat and ugly." THAT IS WHY I THEN CALLED HIM THOSE NAMES - BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT HE ACTED LIKE. If someone blatantly acts like an asshole, I call them an asshole. That's not hypocrisy, it's honesty.

  • If you need to argue abot the reserection myth so much you should accept it did not happen.

    Such it up, reality rules.

  • @1ProudFemaleAtheist Let me put it in simple terms for you:

You attack matrixlone with snide and childish insults such as "fucking moronic pathetic douchebag," "asshole," "moronic," and "dumb piece of shit," but then question his standards of conduct when he answers back.

That, my friend, is what people call hypocrisy.

  • @1ProudFemaleAtheist yes you did hows that make over comin i can give you some channels if you like gee wiz chill out im just messing with you...GODBLESS...AHA..AHAHAHA

  • @matrixlone

I didn't insult your god dumbshit. I stated the obvious. You don't like it? Too bad. I won't shut it. This is youtube, asshole, not a place where everybody has to agree with your stupidity and hypocrisy. You are the one who resorted to ridiculous, pathetically childish insults because you cannot respond rationally to any points I am making.

  • @CarlosMarti123

Hypocrisy? What are you talking about? Please, make some friggin sense when you accuse people of hypocrisy. You sound really foolish.

  • @1ProudFemaleAtheist The hypocrisy of standards of conduct contained in your posts amazes me. Please, cease acting in such a manner and evaluate your own standards of conduct.

  • @1ProudFemaleAtheist and you can have the last word so you can feel better but ima be the bigger man and walk away mkay kiddo godbless
