Towards A New Horizon was commissioned by the city of Shoreview, Minnesota to celebrate the 50th anniversary of it's founding. While this overture is not programmatic, it is meant to portray the pioneering spirit of the brave settlers of the region. It is a vibrant area that is full of natural beauty. I offer my gratitude and heartfelt congratulations to the people of Shoreview on 50 wonderful years.

-Steven Reineke

  • I love the tenor saxophone solo I have in this song! Absolutely epic!

Thanks Steven Reineke for creating this amazing masterpiece! :)

  • all of steven reineke's songs have a relation to each other. this one sounds like where eagles soar. where eagles soar has a little goddess of fire in it. goddess of fire has a LOT of witch and the saint in it.

  • they all sound the same but still great he jus uses the same idea in his songs just mixes and changes things around like most song writers i think sometimes that is just what can make his song sound amazing no matter what

  • Sounds almost exactly like Where eagles soar. Cool though (:

  • THIS SONG IS SO FUCKING EPIC. played it my freshman year, now im a junior and i still lovei t
