Where can I buy this track? Tried finding on Itunes...no luck....if you'd know, please email me at livemusic@skynet.be

Surprised it's called Slow Blues when the solo is clearly taken from Parker's Mood.
I'm guessing this is a homage of sorts.

Mind-blowing track! Sonny Stitt was one of the baddest a cats ever to pick up the horn. Could you post the record (love the tics & pops of the vinyl!) or cd this came from? Many thanks!

This kind of high-energy, precise & gorgeous playing is what every jazz sax player should strive for. Don't just start lines, end them with power! Play like your life depended on it. Pour your soul into every phrase. Not everything Stitt did had this huge, larger-than-life sound, but when I hear stuff like this I'm inspired to pick up my alto & blow the crap out of it. Stitt took what Bird did & kicked it up 100 notches, taking bebop alto to the max. It doesn't get any better than this!
