Here's the second Baseline video, this time with the load disconnected. I know that the video is a blurr. You've really got to use your ears in this series to gauge the RPMs.
Again, we're running on Esbit. Not terribly exciting, but that science background of mine insists that I follow some sort of methodology ;)

  • Yes: don't use any liquid fuel other than methanol or denatured alcohol (ethanol mixed with methanol). rubbing alcohol has water in it and burns filthy, and I don't want to imaging how the other stuff burns.

If you have a proper alcohol burner it should run good and strong.

I'm assuming there are no blockages in your line and that nothing is binding anywhere?

My D6 would run horribly with Esbit. Would go 7 or 8 minutes and then poop out. The meths burner absolutely supercharged it, though.

  • my D6 runs out of steam after about a minute or two and i have tried useing rubbing alchol kerosene and paint thinner and it still doesnt want to stay running for very long i might try a bigger boiler do you have any suggestions?
