__the next morning__
Joel woke up, and got himself dressed.
He was still kinda cold, and his head hurt really bad.
He and Hannah were playing with leggos in the basement, while Nick and Aleece were on the couch watching TV.
All of the sudden, Hannah bites herself really hard, and starts crying.
Aleeece and Nick ran down the stairs to see what was wrong.
Hannah pointed to Joel, and cried and pointed at the bite mark.
Joel's eyes were wide, and he was shaking his head.
Nick grabbed Joel by the arm, got a belt from the clothes basket laying on the ground, and took him into the bathroom.
Joel didn't know what was happening, he had never done anything wrong, even by accident.
He had no clue what a spanking was.
Nick closed the door, pulled down his pants, and started beating him.
(:this is NOT child abuse people, it's called disipline....even if it's not nessacery:)
Joel was crying and screaming for him to stop, but he kept going.
When Nick stopped, he looked at him with stern eyes.
Nick: You know what you did was wrong, why did you do it? *holding his arm tightly*
Joel: Idda didee doo et.
Nick: Yes you did do it Joel! What, do you think she would bite herself??
Joel put his head down and closed his eyes to try to stop the tears.
Joel' head: If I close my eyes, this will all go away, they won't hate me anymore, and they'll love me again......why don't they love me?
Nick shook Joel hard.
Nick: JOEL?
Joel looked up at him.
Joel: *big apologetic eyes* I sowey daddy.
Nick sighed.
Nick: *his tone softened* Don't do it again ok?
Joel: Yes.
Nick: Trust me, it hurts me more than you to spank you.
Joel's head: What the heck?
Nick pulled up his pants and wiped his face.
Nick: Go.
Nick marched Joel back out.
Aleece had fear in her eyes, as she looked at Joel's sad, pathetic expression.
Joel walked over, avoided what he was playing with before, and sat on the couch.
Aleece picked Joel up from beside her, and put him in her lap.
She knew what neglect could do to him.
