  • Min 28:45 "If someone slap you in the face and you felt humiliated, you should slap him back."

I liked the concept: that "slap" is not to hurt back but to "recover respect". Certainly, that it's only in the case of someone offending you.

Min 32:50 "if you have a choice between violence and cowardice, if that's your only choice, chose violence".

Min 33:10 "Cowardice is a form of violence; in fact is one of the worst forms"

    I love this class.

  • It's funny how on all the views on every subject dip severely after the first video.

  • @qstephe I don't think you can count these "digs" really as attacks. If you think someone is wrong, you can say so. The point about these "attacks" is much more subtle. He does not have bad feelings for his "enemies" (he probably doesn't even see them as enemies himself) and in his world view, they should not take serious offense about this. As he said, you should not "own" disrespect.

  • I can't believe so few people have watched these. It is such good stuff. Tell your friends if you can. It only takes 4 or 5% for the tipping point.

  • Little correction:

GmbH means "Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung".

    (His translation was ofc accurate.)

  • What a depressing thing. Apparently he isn't able to embrace both nonviolence and reality at the same time, but if nonviolence really works it should be possible.

  • I find it a little disheartening to find that Nagler is continuing to take digs at his enemies while claim maxim about how "you should always treat your enemies as if the could become your friends" With friends like that, who needs friends.

  • Im lovin this.

  • I think he means 'Bush' ;)

  • A group called "UC Berkeley - PACS 164A/164B Appreciation Society" is now set up in facebook.
