HP Touchpad - wifi, sound, accelerometer

Our Dearest Internet,

We weren't really planning on regular updates re: our Android Touchpad port, but it turns out that people wanted more.

As you can see, several new features have been added and are in-progress. These include wifi, accelerometer, and work-in-progress sound. (This demo uses only a single core and the "mediaserver" program is using 50% of that, which it shouldn't.)

For those who have queried as to why we are not creating a Honeycomb port using binaries from the Android SDK -- we are focused on building from the Gingerbread source to pave the way for Google's upcoming code release of Ice Cream Sandwich.

We have also announced that any potential "bounty" the group may receive based on this porting effort will be forwarded to a charity (TBD).

@iWreXx You need a usb dongle (and a special cable + power) or a special 4g Touchpad that has it incorporated. I got the latter yesterday, there is still some work to make it all work in Android of course.

Even the alpha build is brilliant.

It does not crash easily.

Almost everything I throw at it works perfectly.

Google Earth works well which is nice.

@mbilalabdullah yes, you have to have gapps and workclockrecovery installed. Basically you rebote into wcr and from their install gapps. Not too hard.

@ismailandroid Make sure that Settings->CyanogenMod->Tablet Tweaks->Disable Lockscreen is not checked.

You can set the lockscreen of your choice at Settings->CyanogenMod->Lockscr­een->Style options->Lockscreen style
