  • Isaiah 45:7, "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." Oops...

  • @schmui Response*

  • @schmui Haha I guess "founded by" would have been a better way of phrasing it. And you are true: that either of us is wrong. I simply feel that, through history, testimonies, personal research, and logical thinking (which may seem crazy to an atheist!) that Jesus was not a liar. Thanks for the responce!

  • @scottishrunner14 sorry, but i read "created by Jesus" and had to laugh so hard. i know, if i'm wrong i'm pretty much fucked. well, not that much since i'm not a complete asshole and might have the glimpse of a chance to go to heaven.

well, but if YOU are wrong, you spent your life doing nothing but dedicating it to super-santaclause.

yeah but thanks for telling me all this stuff although i didn't read it. ...just too crazy and fucked up :)

  • @schmui created by Jesus, to help you achieve heaven. Whether or not you believe this schmui, this is the Catholic answer to your question. Thanks. Sorry if this reposts, it said that there was an error in posting so I tried a few times.

  • @schmui allowed for sins to be forgiven and humanity could once again be with God in heaven. Now this event wasn't a ticket to do whatever you want because it's all good since Jesus died for sin. You as an individual must take note of the fact that heaven is now achievable and strive for it. To be allowed to enter into heaven after doing any evil acts because Jesus came and opened heaven up would breech free will. God wants you to seek Him out yourself. The Catholic Church is the guide

  • @schmui He did and does want to fix it. His answer was and is Jesus. Jesus is God the Son completely and a man completely- the hypostatic union. Jesus is God 100%. Jesus is man 100%. God the Son became a man because he needed to make up, or atone for the sins of humanity. No one who was simply a man or a woman could say, "Hey, I'll make up for the sins of humanity and it'll all be good." God therefore sent HIMSELF- a sign of His mercy- to the earth to make up for sin. Jesus dying on the cross

  • @servant714 nice if that explanation worked for you, but wait... if god is almighty and there is this "evil" which is actually a lack of good, how does that go together?

why can't he fix that? why doesn't he want to fix that?

saying that evil is just the absence of good doesn't solve the problem. it just shifts it a few inches.

  • this makes no sense what so ever
