  • Nice find!

Fuji Speedway was built in 1963, so this video could be the earliest in 1963. However looking at the results this must be the legendary 1964 Japanese Grand Prix in which the Prince Skyline 2000GTs lost to a Porsche 904. This resulted in creation of the legendary Prince R380 racecar. (After the merger called the Nissan R380-II)

  • your totally right...you know your stuff man...

the Porsche 904 did win the race!!

  • Guessing by the ending of the film.......I wonder if it's a Prince Motors promotional film for the Skyline, Suzuka likely. Also noticed the Isuzu Bellets {sedan and regular coupe....when did they start racing?} Nice film!

    これは1956年の冨士ではなく、おそらく1964年の鈴鹿サーキットでしょう。

  • really Gr8 upload uncrowdedmonarch,

First thing i did afterwards was subbin' !

Like iperformance mentioned I also don't think it was Fuji, because fuji had a banked first corner in early years,

    wich isn't the case here.

But what a racing spirit those japanese have, considering it's only 11 yrs after WWII !!

  • It's not Fuji. The right turn at the beginning of the main straight is too close to the grandstand. The right turn at the end of the main straightaway does not drop down, and there is a series of esses as it turns back. (Fuji still had the huge speedway right turn in the 60's). There are numerous bridges over the track, and it appears that the course is a figure eight. The only figure eight in Japan is Suzuka. Several of the cars in the GT2 race were not introduced until 1964.

  • LOVE IT!!

    where did you find this??

  • Nice find.
