AudioTouch is an interactive multi-touch interface for computer music exploration and collaboration. The interface features audio based applications that make use of multiple users and simultaneous touch inputs on a single multi-touch screen. A natural user interface where users can interact through gestures and movements, while directly manipulating musical objects, is a key aspect of the design; the goal is to be able to interact with the technology (specifically music based) in a natural way. Users can load, exit, and move musical applications using gestures as well as have a multiple applications operate within the same work environment. The design is built into a table that hides all the hardware necessary for tracking multiple inputs as well as displaying visual feedback on the touch surface.

  • whats the song in the background?

  • Some of the demos will only work with flash player 9. So that could be an issue. The apps in the video do use rotateablescalable. I haven't tested the photo app lately though. I'd make a post on nuigroup and see what people say.

  • @BMcFerrinUTK This is using the touchlib library, but the tuioAS3 is faster. The specs for your computer should be plenty. It should run at least at 30fps. If your camera is slow and tracking is slow in CCV (check calibration to see if it seems slow) then it's CCV.

  • @cerupcat Are you using touchlib or tuioAS3? I have a dual core i5, 6gb ram, ATI GPU with 1GB ram, etc. I'm not sure if it is CCV or Flash or the touchlib. Either way, the examples that come with touchlib seem to run slow and the touches just seem glitchy (particularly in the photo app). On the other hand, MT4j runs well...so I'm guessing it's the touchlib or Flash.

  • @BMMcferrin Just a dual core laptop. Nothing extremely fast. It sounds like you have a good camera, so I'm not sure why it would run slow.

  • What are your computer's specs? I am trying to use my flash app and it just seems to run really slow. Any suggestions? I've checked out the demos for MT4j, and they run SO smooth. BTW, I've built a rear DI setup, PS3 eye, etc...don't know if that has anything to do with it...

    Thanks
