Cameroonian student Viani had to leave secondary school to work part-time when he was 14. He eventually made it to university and received his Masters in Probability and Statistics. Although he received a position to teach in his home country, he chose to attend AIMS and pursue further studies in probability and actuarial science. He hopes to return to his country after getting a PhD to teach, consult and use his new found skills to work on the fundamental issues currently hindering Cameroon's development.
