@Yosigosiendoelquesoy What was he lying about? Cuba was a stronghold for the Mafia. Batista made millions with them and when he left Cuba he left a rich man. The Godfather 2 was based off what was happening in Cuba. When Castro took over he gave the Mafia 24 hours to leave and those that stayed were killed.

@lrodria1 Yeah yeah and Batista was total angel and allowed freedom of speech to everyone, offered free healthcare and education... NOT. Castro is great hero and liberator of his people.

@THEMOONBEAM40...Tell it to the 3 million Cubans forced into exile; the hundreds of thousands imprisoned or forced to work in hard labor camps; the thousands executed or "disappeared". Every Cuban family has been touched by the Castro tyranny. As an apologist for Castro, you could not care any less for Cuba's suffering. Give up your democracy and go live there as a Cuban. You will change your mind.

@TheMOONBEAM40 Recovered? More like wasted... The production of sugar in 2008 was below 1902. Before the revolution, Cuba had enough produce to feed its population with double rations and with a huge surplus for export. After castro declared his communist dictatorship, he destroyed all that, and more... The embargo is not the cause of the problems in Cuba. The problems in Cuba are political and not economic.
