Also in Chapter I, after Rorschach investigates the Comedian's apartment and warns Dan Dreiberg about the 'mask killer'. He is seen writing atop a building. He gets down the stairs and enters Happy Harry's bar and grill, asking questions and breaking one man's fingers.

He talks about his landlady, who cheats on her welfare, and notes how he will investigate the death of the Comedian. After leaving Happy Harry's he writes that he has business elsewhere with a 'better class of person.'

"This city is dying of rabies. Is the best I can do to wipe random flecks of foam from its lips?"

  • listen to Alan Moore do Rorschach's voice. he does it in a couple of interviews on youtube. It is very gravely, low, and the tenses are broken up. the way it's done in the movie is actually how it is meant to be. the man WROTE the damn comics for chist's sake.

  • I know Alan Moore would use a voice like this, but there are a lot of things that Moore wanted for his GN that I didn't care for. I liked the movie's interpretation. Haley rocked ^^

  • "Man went sidewalk diving."

  • steves ear ring is on the gay side

  • damn no mercy.

  • @Josephdorf03 It's not Alan Moore.

  • 5-10 years from now I may read the book, but the Watchmen movie was so horrible it made me want to break my own index finger

  • Optimus Prime?

  • I agree I saw the Movie before I read the Graphic Novel..

Even when I read the Graphic novel JEH's Voice of Rorschach came to mind

  • @joesomenumbers Good point, but it was stated in an interview that JEH would scream his voice out before filming or voice recording so he could have a gravelly voice. That's dedication.

  • But Moore's interpretation is calmer and monotone, while Haley's is more agressive and angrier. This is closer to Moore's vision.
