This is a new JACK PLAYS TOY TRAINS video, all camera work by jack done in two days of june 2010, all narration by jack, most title placements and styles by jack, but i put in the words. jack used imovie on grandma's macbook to add titles to his train video.
i was not around when jack did the filming. he borrows my camera and i dont know what he has filmed until i get it home again.
the movie is almost 8 mins long. sorry about that.
i think it would mostly interest parents of children with speech delay to show how far jack has come since being diagnosed "on the spectrum." i was also impressed that he put in the titles himself, without words to be sure, but he put in most of the markers, so i went back and tried to figure out what he was saying and then i typed in the words. if i knew then what i know now i would have chosen his video more carefully because i see now every little vignette had a story attached to it.
Incidentally, JACK thinks regular glasses are called "sunglasses." Some day I must point out the difference.

  • thanks for your wonderful comments. i hope your son develops well with his pddnos.

jack is doing well but he will probably always have his autism with its odd manifestations, including a preference for videos over friendships.... but we love him just as he is and hope he will some day have an independent life.

  • My son was diagnosed with pdd nos last year and LOVES thomas and friends!! He is 3 1/2 and even though he does not speak that much he does know the names of thomas and the rest of the trains...even the ones that look alike (Thomas, Edward, Gordon!)...one thing i've noticed..many children with autism LOVE Thomas!! Much love to you and your adorable family :) ! By the way..my son loves this video!
