    Footage is shot, then 3d tracked with a program such as Boujou. This creates an in-program camera for 3d software like 3ds max, maya, cinema 4d, etc., to move around them models that you've created, matching every movement that your real camera did. After that, it is exported for after effects for compositing and color correction!
