  • Are you an elevator tech? I was wondering where u get some of the keys?

  • @elevatorsaregreat No dover will ever last as long as this otis, or any other! Long live Otis, short live Dofail (or Failer).

  • @jonisonvespa they can are called elevators in some parts of the world and in some parts they are called lifts in the part of the world you live in they may be lifts

    in America they are elevators

  • they are called lifts, not elvators.

  • @neopia9, yes the outside doors do lock when the elevator isn't there. I used to be in the maintenance dept there and the truth is that this elevator gave us less trouble than the "new" one.

  • HOLY FREAKIN CRAP XD

  • i used to be the building official in lynchburg and on occasion rode that elevator for periodic inspections. what a treat to see this. :)

  • That was a cool looking old elevator! It reminds me of the one in the Hotel St. Michaels in Prescott, AZ. It is the oldest self-service elevator in northern AZ.

  • Love these vintage elevators.

  • No, long live Otis. Short live Slowver.
