I hear ya brother. These people aren't trying to sell us anything, etc., they are praising God and sharing it with us. Assuming that their hearts were in the right place, God was delighted as this performace was being offered up to Him.

actually no, i did this song and i have the music in front of me now. There is s many things, the tempo's far too fast, the rhythm's completely messed up and the harmonies are painful. It's not just cultural differences, i hate when people use that excuse. I've seen many a classical choirs do this song and they've done it far better.

way too fast and it just didn't sound that great

I agree with ShlebyAnn32!!! I really don't like this at all!!! It's way to fast and sloppy!!

Um, this is gospel. You guys were too stiff and the voices in the choir weren't fit for this song. You weren;t bad it just wasn't the song for you.

This Gospel hymn was composed by an African-American composer who taught choirs how to do it the way he thought when he composed it. This is a very Classical choir and everything is done exactly as it is written. There is also a cultural difference here as well. Try see a Black Gospel Choir sing an anthem from an Asian country and hear the Asians criticisms. It's all the same in the end. God loves it and so do I!
