No anger. That's the victory cry. I've had peafowl for 20 years.. When two males are sparring during mating season, and one of moves off or is chased away by a person, the other gives this call to let the hens know that HE won the scuffle and they can return to him to mate.

There are peacocks in area and one that comes to our yard a lot.
He drinks out of the pond and eats vegetable plants and grass . He can be noisy but we likie him a lot and after 2 yrs he trusts us and hangs out in the yard a lot..
Hens wont come here which is good because the large fields are still his main calling area
