DIY: How to Acid Wash a Jacket

Decided to make a video of me making my very first acid wash jacket. This was my first time ever recording myself so the footage is VERY raw. And someone should do a word count on how many times I say the word "so"...it's A LOT! lol. But overall the jacket came out pretty cool for a first timer. Yes I washed it with detergent on a regular wash cycle. The reason for washing it is to remove excess bleach from the fabric so that's why you detergent.

@blurhxxdreamer Hmmm...I'm not sure what the remedy for that is. I've never heard of that happening. Was the item you bleached blue denim or some other color?

could you use splashless bleach or is there no difference to it?

@xybird28 I've seen videos done with splashless bleach so I suppose as long as it's really concentrated it would work fine.

@rickyranid It's likely because the bleach you used wasn't strong enough. I initially tried to use a bleach cleaner but the product is too diluted to work. It's needs to be STRAIGHT bleach. Like pure Clorox! Try that and see what happens.
