@AKsharkfin Nc6 blocks the check while defending the bishop
-
on the 00.50 mins, wouldn't the move Qa4+ win the bishop.
-
why did kramnik offer the draw? was he also in time trouble?
-
I think white was inteeding Rook to c1 if black took the pawn on c4 giving counter play
-
@leevag27 not necessary because f3 can be consider has a line of the nimzo-indian so u cna try again and u will see perhaps frizt will play for white Qc2 or e3

Wow! That's quite disturbing actually. It's no secret that GM's use this software to "prepare" for an event but I guess the big question is to define "prepare". If memorization is all it takes, let's all be one! lol
-
This is a fixed game. I played white against fritz11 until 4.f3!! then I allowed fritz11 to move white too then what a shock!! they just memorized what the fritz moved for white and for black!!!! you may try it with your fritz11. GM of this generation just rely on the computer. tsk3!!

long game are less hard because you take time to look at the game and you dont fall in trap like fork and orther
-
these long games are too complicated. i like the blitz games because i can understand it a bit.

After the Queen exchange, Black plays Ng4, instead, what was wrong with N/Bxc4? Can white regain the pawn?
alexholowczak 3 years ago
Good question - I believe White's best is to then play Bxc4 followed by Rfc1, trying to regain the pawn - here is a brief Rybka line:
Rybka 2.3 mp 32-bit - ,J, Blitz:5'
2kr3r/p2n2pp/b1p1p3/8/1Bn1P3/P2B1N2/5KPP/R6R w - - 0 1
Analysis by Rybka 2.3 mp 32-bit :
1. +/- (0.96): 21.Bxc4 Bxc4 22.Rhc1 Bb5 23.a4 Ba6 24.Rxc6+ Kb7 25.Rxe6 Rhe8 26.Rxe8 Rxe8 27.Rd1 Nb6

If 20... Bxc4, why shouldnt White simply play 21. Kxe3 ?
And 20... Nxc4 encourages White to play Nd4, where he gets his pawn back.

On 20..Nxc4 I don't think Nd4 is good there - black has Nd7-e5 with pressure.

I think Bxc4 gives White advantage though on black playing 20..Nxc4
