  • who cares about the rebuild, that thing is awsome...

  • parts replaced or not ,that is impressive for 1902!

  • Why couldn't the crank have been machined back then? how do you think they bored the cylinders? they had large machinery. But I'll concede that a working engine probably wouldnt have had a polished crank like that, likely done for show purposes in a modern rebuild as stated before.

  • That crank is CNC machined. Prbably during her last rebuild in 1982.

  • @KenMacMillan Modern machining existed in 1902. Lathes, mills, etc. And back then, machinist students had to learn to make perfect parts with only hand files.

  • @funkgerat You can tell by looking at it that it's machined. In 1902 it would have been cast. The connecting rods are probably new too.
