The Wizard w/ Cast and Director Live (Part 1)

For those of you who couldn't make it to this event, here's the question and answer session from the Alamo Drafthouse's screening of The Wizard. The special guests were Todd Holland (director), Luke Edwards ("the" Wizard), and Fred Savage (Fred Savage). The screening included a Super Mario Bros. 3 pre-show in which members of the audience took turns playing Mario on the big screen.

And I gotta say, Fred Savage is a really super nice guy. I heard one of the employees at the Drafthouse talking about how Savage was supposed to be at a casting for a TV show in LA the next morning, and that his producer had called him up while he was backstage and yelled at him for being at this event so late at night. Nevertheless, Fred Savage was very polite to everyone who wanted stuff signed, and he happily posed with people who wanted their picture taken.

Yep, this took place a few weeks ago on February 8th, 2008 at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. This was originally scheduled for late November, but apparently Fred Savage was really busy, so the event got pushed back a couple of months.

@jcarr613 Sadly, not everyone involved with the film is proud of their work in it. Nevertheless, it's awesome that Fred Savage and Luke Edwards came out for this. It shows that they really care about their fans and the impact The Wizard had on their lives back in the day.
