Phil Lumbang- An Introduction

Here's a quick introduction to a young street artist who has been getting up quite a bit lately in Los Angeles. We like the work for the simple message and the idea of using art as a catalyst for social change...

Phil first got his start as an intern for Shepard Fairey at Studio Number One, and he quickly clawed his way up the ranks to design assistant. Now, as he finds his style and confidence working outdoors, he has begun a great career as a print-maker and painter. Most recently, we featured a print that was a collaboration between Phil Lumbang and Ernesto Yerena, which sold out in a day.

I love the bears!!! I have seen them at the old site of Bert-Co.

Keep on painting. Maybe you will head towards Echo Park Avenue and Duane and paint over the dinosaurs at the old Beauty Salon.

Hooray! I live down the street from the Lake View bears and I say hello every time I pass by them. Everybody I know loves the bears around town. More bears please!
