Lets talk about the ENDING in this Exclusive interview with Watchmen director Zack Snyder. (Part 3 of 3) http://www.PonderPop.com (hi-res version available) After watching 25 minutes worth of what we were told was exclusive never before seen footage and clips from the highly anticipated new Comic book movie Blunty sits down with Director Zack Snyder for a chat about what we can all expect come early next year when the movie finally hits our screens
Nah,The Squid was better.
Why?Because the soviets should of seen the Manhattan fiasco as a weakness in America and would possibly move in on them,With the Hoax alien I felt not only was it explained better it also showed a much more believible reason for the soviets and the USA to join and repel the 'attack'

I also liked the movie ending more. I mean, the squid made scense in the comic, but not in the movie. I mean, even in the comic book, the alien-invasion plan was kind of all over the place. Also I liked the idea, of Dr. Manhatten, the great savior of America, is actually the biggest threat.

@CubbieBear1980 I agree with you and Aishra. I do think that by making Dr Manhattan the source of the "menace" the movie feels more rounded, since it has been plotted that he is losing control of himself. It simplifies things in a way that it can fit the amount of time you have in a movie to develop the characters without losing the point, and they put a spin in the story so that even those that love the graphic novel, as me, get to see something diferent and unespected, made in a inteligent way

stop saying it doesn't matter, it does. Hollywood scrapes the bottom of the barrel for ideas to make into movies and they've discovered a gold mine with the old comics. I spent 20 years looking forward for Judge Dredd the movie, when it came out i was very disappointed cos they took a million liberties for the sake of focus groups and censors and published a tattered insult of the original. stay true or make up something new. what next? rewriting Shakespeare? or Chaucer?

The ending int the original comic made allot of sense at the time the comic was written. The alien attack such as is described in the comic would make little sense these days... they would risk making the movie sound silly and retro. The menace of a new source of energy so power that it can "clean" the face of the earth of the human population makes allot more sense this days, where people live under the constant shadow of nuclear war. They just updated the story to fit the current reality.

G-Novel OR On-Film; the ending is the IDEA the ending is not the SEAFOOD. and for those who lack comprehension skills;' the ending is Oxy gettin away with it and carrying out his plot killing millions to "save billions the ending is NOT the squid!! Point blank period whether you are a fan or a fan boy@

That's why I felt the squid was out of place.
That's my two cents. Feel free to pick it apart fanboys. I know you can't help yourselves.

WOW! I still can't believe this is still dividing people.
Enjoy them as seperate entity's. I love the graphic novel. The film was a beautifully crafted take on the book.
If you don't like the film, then read the book.
Personally I even felt the squid was out of place even in the comic. I don't like the comic ending. I prefered the film version. It made a lot more sense.
The whole idea of that world is to make as though super heroes exist in "our world", and therefore have an impact on history.

Why do people agrue about other peoples opinions, once they make their opinions themselves?... Unless they call you out and say your stupid for thinking this was a good movie, say something back xD. If not just leave your damn comment and opinion.
