hey i really respect what you are doing, i am of mexican heritage and it really shows the hardships my parents had to go through to get to the us for a better life...my friend and i were both talking today about how it is hard to find work right now, and how we want to make a change and find a way to create more money for the poor and homeless in the states..then we went on youtube and we watched all of your videos and it was such an eye opener, if there is any way we can get involved let usknow

These videos are amazon and inspiring and really show the degradation in family values within our society. We are not content with each other but need material items for happiness. The saddest part is the 99% of the people that watch this video won't change their life in any way, myself included.

@SweatyBeefcake If it can inspire a small act of generosity or a slightly better understanding of how important sustainable development is, then I am super happy. We are all just college kids pursuing an interest and a passion, for both development and film. The amount of viewers has already exceeded all our expectations. Thank you all for your support and I hope that some of you are learning, making a positive change in your lives, or simply smiling a bit more. Much love

A couple comments: 1. The place is exquisite. I would love to retire there. 2. It seems that living side by side with these people demonstrates more your own ineptitude rather than showing theirs. It is likely that a life of privilege has shielded you from needing to learn basic human skills. Additionally, the people of this lovely village seem perfectly content and not at all poor. Maybe a more realistic study the effects of poverty would take place in the slums of Rio or Mumbai.

@H4D9poo While the people may seem happy, I can assure you that they are very poor. We constructed extensive financial diaries of many families in the village, tracing their sources of income and expenses, etc. Their smiles are testament to their strength, not well-being. Many of them have lost children to disease, malnourishment is rampant, and very few can afford the opportunity to attend school. All I am saying, is that we have to be careful about glorifying the lives of sustainable farmers.
