@JennifereverStudios To be fair, Darkside Chronicles isn't supposed to be accurate. It's Leon retelling what Claire told him isn't it? They probably think Alexia was totally evil. It doesn't mean the events of Veronica Code are discontinuity; just that the characters don't remember Alexia's good points (I mean why would they?). Or am I missing something?

Alexia's "re-awakening" in Code Veronica was one of the most greatest scenes in all of Resident Evil. So what dumb ass decided it was a great idea to replace ALL emotion in that scene with a 'Alexia is all evil now!' scene.
Same people that screwed up everything great about Wesker in RE5 I'm sure.

Wow DC totally butt fucked the original. I grew up on Resident Evil, seeing this at the age of 17 is just horrid. Anyone else agree?

The cutscenes in DC look really good, kinda artistic.

And if you even re-read my first comment I was merely pointing why I didn't mind the DSC Alexia: "Honestly I actually quite liked this version a lot and feel like it added another dynamic to Alexia's character."
There, I said it added "another" dynamic to her overall character. Not the original character, but the overall concept of Alexia. I hope you understand what I mean.

Truly I wasn't really arguing in favor of DSC. I was just showing an open viewpoint, pointing out that the Chronicles interpretations allow the audience to look at the different complexities of the original versions by creating their own interpretation.
I wish that you don't take that I'm arguing against you, because I do adore the Tribute/AMV you've done here (hence why I got here in the first place). It's just that I wanted to point out why the Chronicles versions weren't such a bad thing.

@TilasTrinety Exactly, but I was just pointing that there was nothing wrong with the interpretation they've made in DSC. What I was pointing out was through an objective stand point. I think either version is great but of course CV is the "true version" because of course, it's the original canon. I'm merely outlining that these interpretations of the character (the Chronicles non-canon version) simply introduces other dimensions in the characters' personalities for the audience to interpret.

@DemetedP Alfred's character was just as tragic and complex in CV, if not moreso. He always viewed himself as the soldier, dedicating his life to protecting his Queen, only to finally die in her arms knowing his duty was complete. She even held him and sang to him, and the reason she went after Claire and Steve was to avenge her brother. Alexia viewed the rest of the world as worker ants, but her brother was a soldier to her and the only one worthy of being close to her.
-
@TilasTrinety Not to mention it also introduces the idea that Alfred's character is that much more tragic. While in CV Alfred shared a great bond with her (almost incest, but moreover dissociative identity disorder), in DSC it emphasizes the Queen & worker ant relationship where the Queen simply views the worker as a worker and nothing more (something that Alfred always glorified in CV). It isn't better than CV, it just introduces new concepts that makes the characters that much more complex.
I was sad, I couldn't believe they had Alexia kill her own brother. ;~;

I loved Alfred in DC, they made him so much more interesting and really improved his character... until they went all 'omfg letz make hre moar evil!!!1 lol" with Alexia and had her kill Alfred; I mean what the hell, the whole point is that they were brother and sister and he worked towards her rebirth, and - albeit died and she was eventually killed - died like the soldier ant he was supposed to be...now she killed him? uhm... no
