@anoimos93 I have an Ibanez, theyre pretty amazing but its just not what Im looking for so Ive ended up putting it up for sale. Im after one of these Yamaha basses now they seem awesome (despite being a ridiculous price)
@usedinpublic its not the bass that is making the grit to his sound, he is using a signature hyperdrive pedal through his amp with a slight bit of gain on his amp
@Candlebox76 Nah, I think they're really the same. Ellefson does plenty of workshops on youtube and he wrote Making Music Your Business, which is absolutely genius.

He seems to love the string noise, and the grit no matter what bass he plays and I can't stand that sound.
