Picnic07 wear red for burma

As you may know, yesterday the Myanmar (Burmese) government started shooting and
killing monks and civilians that were protesting in the streets of Yangon and
Mandalay.

This Friday there is an international protest and support action for the people of
Myanmar. Many people will wear RED to show their support. We too.

At 13:00 hours we'll gather in the main conference room (extraction hall west) for
a short meeting in support of the Myanmar people. All other picnic activities will
be paused at that moment.

Well let me explain about the color red. It is significant in 8888 movement and as you can see the back ground of the students flag is red with pecock flying to the star. In addition, red means brave for Burmese people. By wearing red, we salut all the people who gave their lives for freedom for Burma and also states that we are brave and never give up until we get the democracy. Thanks.

What's that going to do? The Burmese people don't need to wear red. When their blood is shed, their clothes will be red enough. How is wearing red going to stop them from getting shot dead?

I acknowledge your intentions, but I would advocate taking more drastic action when innocent lives are in danger.

We are all on the same side. Let's DO SOMETHING!
