We come from the point of view the as Puerto Ricans we have the right to self determination and we are a prude, capable, and able people who can make our own choices. We have been colonized for over 500 years and shaking the shackles of mental colonization is hard work, but it is necessary to become our own nation and live truly free! Paz.

Puerto Rico isn't really part of America, geographically its part of the Caribbean Antilles & Puerto Rico is a colony of the USA since the Spanish American War. I been in some of these protest small and large and also was in the 2006 march to the united nations it was very great and knowing that you are part of history and a just cause also gives you chills but the energy to move on.
